- Condition: I purchased this figurine at an estate sale. The gentleman who offered it for sale was very well traveled. It is in good condition, with no major defects (chips, breaks, pronounced scratches, etc.). Note there is one thin crack about 3" long down the back of the figure. Please see photo #5 for a close-up.

For sale: 12″ tall hand carved wooden vintage Chinese wise man (“
Shouxing,
” the Chinese god of longevity) with staff and sacred peach. He stands on a carved platform decorated with plants. Wonderful facial features — must see to appreciate. Artist unknown.
This statue was hand carved from very dark brown wood with a rich sheen. It
measures 12″ tall x 3.75″ wide x 4″ deep and weighs one pound 12 ounces.
